A catch-all functionality that is activated for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the very same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential in case you are running a business, for example. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you have a cloud website hosting with us and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox that you have in your web hosting account, it’ll take literally just one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have created under any domain name hosted in the account. You can choose one address per domain by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all emails sent to mistyped email addresses will be received there. Clicking the button again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a tiny "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to disable the feature, in case you don’t need it any longer. Our system will inform you if you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all email address for a particular domain or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never change or deactivate any feature automatically and without your permission.
